The Raphaelson Law Firm is pleased to announce that we have joined the fight against Autism. The firm has offered its full support to the 'Daryl Strawberry Foundation for Children and Families Affected by Autism.'

Autism is a developmental disability significantly affecting verbal and non-verbal communication and social interaction, generally evident before age three, that adversely affects educational performance.

The cause of autism has been widely contested and is the subject of constant scientific debate. However, one popular theory is that autism may be related to common childhood vaccines. Until recently, Thimerosal, was contained in numerous vaccines. Thimerosal, a preservative, is approximately 50 percent Mercury by weight. it is no longer found in routine childhood vaccines, but is still contained in some flu shots.

Presently a matter is pending in the United States Court of Federal Claims. The court is attempting to determine if a link exists between autism and common child hood vaccines. A ruling in favor of the innocent children could pave the way for a Government backed compensation fund.
