New York Construction Workers Safety

The safety of New York Construction Workers is being ignored by property owners, builders and general contractors.

In the wake of this past summers sad pattern of crane accidents and construction disasters the City of New York department of buildings, continue to fail the workers that build our city. In the past three weeks Raphaelson and Levine have tirelessly worked to support three injured workers and their families involved in dangerous construction accidents. Although none of the accidents involved deaths, the nature of the accidents were serious and the injuries these workers sustained are permanent. These accidents must serve as a warning to the entire construction community in order to save the next accident from involving a fatality.

This past week Raphaelson and Levine were retained by a 62 year old construction worker who fell thru an unsecured and unmarked hole on the roof of a high rise building under construction. The worker was instructed to perform work on the roof without being provided safety equipment, harnesses, ropes, cables and other safety equipment that could have easily prevented his fall. Our client is a family man who has worked an entire career working on constructing buildings and helping develop the great City of New York. Sadly his payback for this dedication and lifetime of hard work will be dealing with permanent injuries that will render him disabled for the remainder of his life.
