Benjamin Katz is an associate at Raphaelson & Levine Law Firm, P.C. licensed to practice law in the State and Federal Courts of New York. Mr. Katz grew up in Ohio and attended Ohio State University where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree. After college, he attended law school at the University of Miami, Florida where he graduated from in 2008. After graduating from law school, he practiced law in South Florida for several years before moving north to New York to practice law. While he misses the palm trees and his swimming pool, he is happy to be now working in the Empire State.
Mr. Katz has a wide variety of legal experience but has spent most of his career practicing in personal injury. He has immense experience in the courtroom, mostly focusing on the litigation of serious injury cases. He has experience on both sides of the law, having worked for defense firms representing large insurance companies and working in-house for an automobile insurance company. While as a defense attorney, Mr. Katz gained valuable experience, litigating wrongful death actions, serious motor vehicle accidents, and premises liability cases. His defense experience provides him an insight into how insurance companies operate and the strategies they want to employ. This has allowed him to understand how a defendant is looking to set up the defense of a case and how to counter those defense strategies to serve his clients best.
