$2M For a NYC Construction Worker
Raphaelson & Levine were able to bring Justice for a Chinese immigrant living the American dream working on skyscrapers in New York City. The day the accident started as just another day for our client when he commuted to Manhattan from Queens. He traveled to NYC with his protective clothing, hardhat, and an impeccable record for working safely. This was his first day on the job, and when he arrived at the accident site, he was instructed by the General Contractor to report to the roof of the building to work on the siding. The roof looked normal, and the surface he began to work on appeared to be secure. Sadly contractors who had worked on the roof prior to that day had created openings in the floor that were improperly closed. As our client performed his work, he walked along a portion of the roof floor that gave way and caused him to fall thru an opening. He fell a significant distance and sustained terrible injuries that prevented him from returning to work. The worksite was determined to be unsafe, and Raphaelson and Levine held the owner, general contractor, and subcontractor responsible. We recovered over Two Million dollars for our client, which included compensation for Past and Future Pain and Suffering, and Economic loss. The award also compensated our client for his future medical care and other life care costs that he will sustain in the future directly as a result of his injuries.
