$900K Pedestrian Knockdown Injury
Our client was out for an exercise walk when she was struck by a turning vehicle and thrown to the ground. She suffered a fractured knee that was treated conservatively as well as a lumbar disc injury. While our client previously had MRIs that revealed herniations to her spine, we successfully proved that the crash caused further damage, an aggravation and exacerbation of her prior condition. She required a lower back discectomy, a procedure where the herniated disc is removed surgically. The matter was litigated in Queens Supreme Court and resolved at a mediation by Andrew Levine for 900,000.
